Update of MITC Software Testing Level 01 examination. What’s new?
The MITC Software Testing Level 01 exam update includes several improvements aimed at better reflecting the real-world challenges faced in the testing industry. Those who enjoy a challenge should consider taking the new version!
New questions will be displayed
As part of the update, we have added five new questions to the exam pool, focusing on two critical areas of testing competence:
- identifying defects
- a strategic approach to defect analysis
Despite increasing the total pool of questions, the number of questions in a single exam remains unchanged. This means a more dynamic and unpredictable knowledge verification process. And more aligned with real-world testing processes.
Restructuring of assessment areas
A key change is the split of "finding and reporting defects" into two assessment areas. Consequently, the exam now evaluates competencies in five areas instead of four, allowing for a more precise assessment of candidates' skills.
Improvement of assessment algorithms
We have introduced advanced modifications to answer evaluation algorithms that:
- increase assessment objectivity
- eliminate any doubtfulness
- ensure a more representative verification of knowledge and skills
No substantive revolution
We emphasize that the introduced changes do not affect the fundamental substantive content of the exam. Our goal was merely to improve knowledge verification tools while substantive remains the same.
The exam update does not require recertification for those who have already obtained the MITC Software Testing Level 01 certificate. All existing certificates remain valid and fully recognized.
Summary
The Update of the MITC Software Testing Level 01 Exam is another step in the continuous improvement of the certification process, aimed at best reflecting the current IT market requirements.
